We Didn’t Lose Our Business (But We Did Lose a Phone or Two)
This Week on And Then She Said — Season 3 Kickoff
Hey friend,
We’re back with Season 3 of And Then She Said, the podcast where mother-daughter chaos meets radical growth. In this week’s episode, Britt and Anissa catch up on vacations gone rogue, sweat-drenched workspaces, and what actually happened to their business.
You’ll laugh. You’ll cringe. You will become our new best friends, so let's get into it.
So... Did We Lose Our Business?
(Make sure to take a drink each time we say pivot)
Short answer: NO.
Long answer: Definitely not, but our silence was giving “plot twist” vibes.
-
K-Now Solutions is back to its original purpose—supervision, CEUs, and mentorship.
-
We have pivoted away from direct services after legislation changes.
-
Ike & Ivy (our autism center) experienced a 60% growth in just two months.
We’re thriving. This isn’t a failure—it’s a strategic pivot. Period.
Britt’s Beach Chaos vs. Anissa’s Log Cabin Heatwave
Let’s compare:
Britt spent an extra hour on the beach helping a fellow tour participant look for her phone in the sand, fought stingray anxiety, and tried to convince her child he was not going blind via saltwater.
Anissa melted in her third-story log cabin office, fought getting lost in the wilderness anxiety, and lost her phone in the Black Hills during a horse ride.
Conclusion? Parallel lives. Different states. Same chaos.
Throwback of the Week: Baby Bottles Full of Coca-Cola
Yes, you read that right.
Anissa: “She’s two. She doesn’t use bottles anymore.”
Anissa’s Grandma: “She’s little. She gets a bottle.”
Britt: Casually drinks Coca-Cola from a baby bottle like it’s fine.
And now... Britt’s kids clap at her when they want attention via Grandma Nissa. Full circle.
Behavior Breakdown: Todd Chrisley Edition
What function does Todd Chrisley’s behavior serve?
Access. To attention, luxury, and control.
Rule-Governed. He thanks God for every outcome (including his daughter’s hustle).
Avoidance? Not so much. He thrives on the spotlight.
Bottom line? We appreciate the drama and family loyalty.
Nope, No Thank You
This week, we’re saying “NOPE” to:
Britt: Passive-aggressive parenting jabs. Just say what you mean.
Anissa: Other people’s to-do lists. Keep your overwhelm to yourself.
Behavior Wins
Britt: Rebuilt her mental health routine—journaling, 5 AM mornings, and self-care back on track.
Anissa: Rode horses all week, reconnected with her childhood passion, and realized this horse is hers, on her terms.
Final Thought of the Week
Did we lose our business? No. We just grew up, leveled up, and made room for what’s next.
And maybe... bought a horse or two along the way.
